This sculpture class is for both beginners and experienced artists. The focus of this class is the study of the human figure through clay. This fall, students will model the head in clay. Areas of emphasis include how to perceive the human figure and how to create expressions. Time will be spent on emphasizing bringing life to the sculpture through gesture, movement, mood and expression in addition to important art history lessons. The class will work with water-based clay.
